jane's s a ~spoiler~ i cannot divulge that information at this time, but jordan and attest it's pretty cute.

hogan a bird (but i wanna do something cool with the vanir bc they are considered to be more magical have greater powers of sorcery [i also headcanon that frigga is vanir tbh] and they can pull their deamon in and out of their bodies.) (which mean, in my headcanon, thor had the genetic ability to do this but um isn't that great at the more complex magics)

i’m imagining tea party and knitting/ book club for sam bucky and jane. also stargazing field trip.

god know i love everyone being friends and esp faves being friends but NOW THIS IS LEGIT SO CUTE TO ME? like i don’t easily see jane being a knitter unless she kinda starts it by accident idk how but doing it one afternoon bc she’s stressed and thinking and darcy left her knitting needles with a pattern and she just needs to do something with her hands and then she’s just clicking away and finding it really soothing, which when steve starts looking for some mellow activities bucky can do jane is like lol knitting? and sam’s like i knit too. he could stab us with the needles tho. i won’t stab you with the needles. and like sam’s really good and jane’s kind okay bordering on kinda bad and bucky is just NOT GOOD unless he’s making scarves but it’s kinda nice, peaceful. sam and bucky start smirking at each other when jane gets into a groove and then starts mumbling about physics. and while jane is an avid coffee drinker she knows her tea — her mum is hardcore english i’ve made it so — and they decide of tea and knitting bc this is very soothing knitting tea party circle but then one day bucky brings in a book bc ‘steve’s like i have to read this’ and sam like ‘the harry potter books?’ ‘yes!’ which makes jane laugh and suggest a harry potter book circle for bucky. 

one afternoon thor, steve, darcy, and natsha do like the cartoon peeking of this weird knitting book club tea party and are like:

how did this happen?

i know bucky’s using plastic needles but is it safe?

are they making hogwarts scarves?

i’m pretty sure jane’s talking theoretical physics there.

nothing here makes sense.

FINE MANU IF YOU WANNA GET TECHINICAL! it is a space au... well a space non au. a space canon. 

i shuold have said: a SPACE OPERA AU where they live on ships and jane is a science officer and thor is on the command route and maybe they meet at the academy. maybe they meet on a ship as they explore with the uss avengers the nine quadrants (i'm so hilarious!!!) and he's always going down to ask her shit even he REALLY DOESN'T NEED TO. or she's a jedi and he can be one too (btw there is fic about this. it's called "through doors" i reread it regularly) or he could be some prince hahahha you know what i mean and hey, he really shouldn't be flirting with the jedi but he's never been a big rule follower.

OR JUST SOME OTHER KIND OF SPACE AU. there isn't just one space au there are many, we should explore them all.

right, so these replies are super late, but i went to bed and then oops remembered, but i still wanted to answer them bc good points!

notsodarlings ha dicho: i was thinking about this too the other day after CA2! thor i think does have a bigger ensemble than the rest of the standalones tho?.. there’s both earth with jane +selvig + darcy+ shield and then there’s asgard + other realms

thor does! thor has two sets of teams -- team thor/asgard and team jane/earth -- and i think the main issue is that as well rounded as both teams are the films themselves don't really know how to balance them. one of the main complaints in thor 1 was not enough time on earth. the reverse is true for thor 2. not enough time on asgard. and i think they're sound arguments. for plot reason it's hard to balance the teams out, but i think the films use the right teams to their best, esp in thor 2. bc so much was happening in the nine realms that we should have gone back to asgard more. also erik's scenes? yeah the first one didn't have to even happen? you know the one with him running around naked in stonehenge for several reason, but mainly: we didn't need it. it was already establish that he was having some hard time after nyc/loki and possibly suffering from mental illness. we could have a different scene that didn't require the bailing out of later, shortening the team earth scene giving us at least two more team thor scenes. (or at least have given us the cut jane scene where she and thor talk about frigga) (i can live with the asgard ball scene out bc it's very cute and otp feelings but the frigga scene is more important for plot as they talk about the aether too)

which brings me to manu's comment;

manueluv ha dicho: super disappointing that we didn’t get more sif and warriors 3, and even though we did get a semi road trip with thor, loki, jane. jane wasn’t rly there there. like they only have to fight malekeith. they should’ve had more time for the ensemble.

by the fact that thor WAS a bit of the nine realms road trip having team thor scenes made more sense in this one, while in thor 1 by the fact it was mainly about thor being banish to earth we should have had more team earth scenes. i think that maybe the writers/marvel saw these complaints in reviews and switched up for thor 2, which lol wasn't right for thor 2. and ugh the sleeping sickness thing. super lazy! but that's a another post. it was really just a convenient plot thing to have jane "out" of scenes while still being "in them". i mean that the film gets more exciting after she's not napping anymore says a lot.
