I’ve avoided making any posts about our country’s recent challenges. In the middle of a crisis, it’s easy to get stuck in the negative. But we can’t let ourselves do that. I know that we all want to see a Haiti where resources are managed in a way that benefits everyone. But I also know that there are many people who do not want resolutions to these issues. I know what it’s like to feel like you have no control over the situation and wanting to find someone else to blame but in order for us all to face this together and make a difference, we need to change our mindset about what’s possible in this moment. We need to start thinking about what WE can do NOW instead of waiting for someone else to do it for us. We need to make sure that we are building up our resilience and strength—so that when challenges arise, we can handle them with grace and dignity, instead of breaking down in fear. Let’s come together to find real solutions via a multifaceted approach. Everything is connected and no one part can improve without cooperation of the whole. Ayibobo! . . .
