well i guess this is just info that can’t really hurt anyone so why the heck not

my mom does not like me cosplaying. I don’t know if she doesn’t like me or she don’t like me cosplaying but she absolutely does not want me doing it.  it started with little things like making it very hard to get sewing instructions or buying things but it got worse over time, degrading and isolating me and always making particularly rude comments about me in cosplay. saying “who the hell is going to know what you are”,”Kinda went overboard on this one” “you know you should just be studying” but especially recently (i mean its con season so it comes up more) she’s been getting physical. NOT ON ME but like 

breaking my props mostly (stepping on them “by accident” kicking them, knocking them over). refusing to drive me places, “cleaning up” my cosplay pile (aka shoving them in the weirdest godamn places making it hard to find them) . 

i try so hard to pretend it doesn’t happen and excuse it but its so painful its hard to bear 

thats why i take such pride in whatever cosplay “fame” i have. I have to do it in spite of so much.
