“The Face of Matariki” by Victor Lee Te Paa. Matariki is the Maori name for the constellation Pleiades. When it rises, the New Year begins. (Actually, the Maori New Year begins in late spring. I’m celebrating early.)

Fun fact: The Maori developed the modern art of tattooing. Facial tattoos are a sacred element of traditional culture.
