A recent reddit topic was asking about these strange pillars that can be seen when looking back towards the area of the Sanctuary Guardian:
Walking closer with gravity disabled, we avoid collision with the map and the game doesn't know to update the map data/ geography. So we get to see what it looks like up close:
It’s just two tall trees:
Colliding with the map back in this area, you can see the two trees in higher quality, which the LOD models above are based on. They are the trees surrounding the exit of the Sanctuary Guardian area:
Looking down, you can see where they are in relation to the bridge:

So there we have it! It’s just an awkward LOD model that they shouldn’t have made visible from the original vantage point (or they should’ve been drawn better and included some more of the surrounding stuff).
