glory of losers looks cool as hell. vistually, i mean. the art is stunning and my sorry ass would give itself away just because of how well they are drawn - faithful to the source material (aka the anime) yet so much much better.
at this moment visually the best was blind target (if you dare comment on how my usage of ft art for both icon and header is hypocritical i will deny ever knowing what the fuck you’re talking about) (tho yes, you would be right), but glory of losers just... spit it its face and declares itself emperor of best art and blind targets thanks it.
but it also kind of irks me? they have made some changes, story wise, that rub me in all the wrong ways. now, note, i haven’t had the chance to read the whole thing, but from what i’ve gathered they are somewhat ft complacent, and have messed a bit around with the backstory and i... don’t agree with that.
at all.
i’m not necessarily against changes - the anime has its problems, and this manga would be a good place to fix some of them - but nothing i have seen can be filed under improvements, only messing up with bits and pieces that were totally fine the way they were.
this is only my opinion though, more based on “feelings” for the original story than actual problem within the manga. which, let’s remember, i haven’t read yet. maybe one day...

i’ve been trying to get back on the game trying to consume content for my fave fandom, which is gundam wing btw, and i feel pretty at loss cause the most i’m seeing around is content that incorporates frozen teardrop backstory as canon and i’m so totally not into that.
my gundam wing canon has always been strictly: anime + endless waltz + episode zero. i have trouble incorporating even the other official manga from the early 00′s, such as blind target (and blind target has those amazing 1xr interactions that make my heart flutter with joy, but, you know, i still cannot bring myself to say that’s 100% canon material, i’m more inclined to think that’s more of an educated guess of what could have happened between the anime series and the ovas).
i don’t like frozen teardrop for so many reasons and i honestly hate seeing it everywhere. this is such a turn off for me, cause i feel that in this fandom there’s room for either me or ft, and ft is winning and keeping its spot (if that makes sense).
is there anyone else out there who feels like this? i cannot be the only one, and if there’s a space in the gw fandom where people are rejecting ft as canon and creating content accordingly i would really love to know, so if you or someone you know doesn’t like ft and doesn’t consider it canon please hit me up! i’d love to share my gundam wing feels with people who feel the same as i do!
