My Very Old Dark!Trelawney Design

TW: Mild body horror and teeth

Way back when, back when it was popular to create dark versions of characters (Is uppose it still is really!) I created a Dark Trelawney version based around an angler fish and a Mapinguari style being.

This was also the original concept for the Dark Trelly bot.

The symbolism was always greed and gluttony, with the luring of people with the gold light, the giant maw in the belly and the green eyes of envy which I feel kinda fit Trelawney's character quite well.

Enjoy, I guess. It's pretty rough, but my fingers hurt today.

Cryptozoologicon: Mapinguari by John Conway

Shadows gather at the edge of the Andes. Four figures move as one, unseen but inevitable. The silence before the storm.

7 to 8 foot tall barbarians that make their home in the Foreboding Jungle, but sometimes venture beyond its outskirts when their regular food supply is low. The fur on their arms hides 3-fingered hands that end in claws the size of kitchen knives as well as serrated dewclaws jutting from each wrist, and the fur below their eyes hides complicated mouthparts that unfold like a deadly flower.

That was the original description I wrote for this drawing. The resemblance to the Mapinguari was unintentional, since I was unaware of that monster at the time.

Burrunjor: An Allosaurus like Cryptid native to the Australian Outback.

Arica Monster: Also known as the Atacama Raptor, this Cryptid is a Dromeasaur sighted in the Atacama desert in Chile.

Partridge Creek Monster: A "Ceratosaurus" (yutyrannus) Cryptid from the Yukon Territories of Canada.

Mokele Mbembe: A Sauropod Cryptid from the jungles of the Congo.

Emela-Ntouka: A Styracosaurus like Cryptid reported from the swamps and forests of Cameroon.

CrocoDingo: A bizarre Australian Cryptid resembling a hybrid of Crocodile and Dingo (which I'm interpreting as a Kaprosuchus).

Siberian Mammoth: Herds of Mammoths have come from the remote reaches of the steppes of Siberia.

South American Smilodon: These Cryptids have been spotted in the mountainous regions of Columbia, Paraguay and Ecuador.

Mapinguari: Found in Brazilian Jungles, this beast is thought to be a remnant population of Giant Ground Sloths.

Terror Birds: Giant flightless bird Cryptid sightings have occurred in the many savannas of the South American continent.
