Outfit Post: Bohemian by Maple Ave

I'm back with another collaboration with the wonderful local online store, Maple Ave. Stay tuned for more collaborations! We had run out of sun that day and will try and shoot more outfits this weekend.

We left this outfit to shoot last. Brian was getting so bored with point and shoot that he needed something more fun and "creative" that walking up and down a carpark, looking left, up, down and right and just looking super blah. In this playsuit, it flowed for well and created really nice movement to capture.

I love the cut-outs this playsuit had and I love how it is loose fitting. I'm wearing a size AU6 (XS) and it was free flowing and felt so light on me.

Surprisingly, after a lot of twists and turns and the fear of tripping over in these amazing but deadly Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spikes, I survived unscathed.

I do regret not purchasing a floral headband, it would have gone perfectly with this outfit. I was driven away by the price since it looks so easy to make at a fraction of the cost. I couldn't justify the price but I can't spare the time to get the materials and DIY it myself. Convenience or to DIY and save a few bucks?

The wind wasn't strong enough to create the moment for the playsuit that afternoon, we were facing the wrong angle at the car park and as much as we wanted to move over to a better spot, the learner driver who came with milk bottles as cones was very distracting.

I had been flapping my arms up and down to capture the 70s style flares on the the sleeves of this playsuit.

The lining in the playsuit is very thin so I had to wear a pair of short underneath to avoid any see-through disasters while shooting this outfit. I don't know for you girls, but whenever I have a 2nd liner underneath, whether it be another skirt or shorts I feel like if I were to fall over and my dress flopped up or the wind blew it up, I wouldn't feel embarrassed at all. - I know, I'm weird but I feel more free.

The details of the playsuit is very vintage and really captures the 70s style really well.

The back of the dress has a low zip with ribbon at the back to help it stay up. it's very festive and isn't too over the top.
