Hi everybody I’ve posted a new video on my YouTube channel celebrating my @mapleleagirls doll Jenna‘s birthday. Please check it out it would mean a lot to me. Image Description a photo of a red haired doll wearing a white sweatshirt with Canadian Girl embroidered on it in red, a red and white mapleleaf patterned headband and a pair or grey leggings. The doll is holding a plated slice of birthday cake and there is a table next to her with a pink, purple and yellow two tier cake on a purple cake stand with a candle on top as well as another plated slice of cake with a fork and a napkin and a glass of lemonade. The text reads BC’s Doll Place: Happy Birthday Jenna 2025! (With Subtitles).
American Girl has decided to sell out and make Disney Princess dolls, the majority of whom are not from the US but Europe, because money
Therefore, by their logic, it is ok for them to make and sell character dolls of characters that aren’t from the US
Anne of Green Gables is Canadian, but I’ve seen a lot of custom Anne AG dolls during my time on the internet. American Girl presumably ade the Princess dolls because people had already been making custom Princess dolls for over a decade, so they decided to do it themselves and make more money. Do they should make an Anne doll, as there is a market for it
⚠️This post is not meant to be taken seriously. This is just me being salty over the Disney Princess dolls. If any doll brand were to make an Anne doll, it should be Maplelea, the actual Canadian doll brand
Does anyone know of any First Nations doll clothes designers? I’m looking for traditional Mi’kmaq or Haudenosaunee outfits I can sew for my niece’s doll. (She lives in Mi’kmaq territory, I’m in Haudenosaunee).
Funnily enough, if I Google for Haudenosaunee I get all sorts of ads for vintage “Native American” dolls, but not with Mi’kmaq, even though I’d say that settler usage of Mi’kmaq goes back longer. (Not with that spelling of course, but when I was a kid we still said “Iroquois”.

Friendship ended with American Girl, now Maplelea is my best friend. All jokes aside, my first Maplelea doll got her a few days ago! They had a bundle sale going on so I spent around $304 USD on her and some clothes! I named her Marni, she's a Maplelea & Me KMF68 doll. In all honesty, I think I'm going to take a break on collecting AG for a while. Now that I know Maplelea has way better quality items, I'd personally rather support them than AG. I'm planning on putting some money away to get her a Winter wardrobe... I'm really happy with how well made Maplelea's clothes are! I'd highly recommend checking out their site, they have some adorable clothes on there.
Forgot to post about it but I made a $300 Maplelea order and got KMF68 and some clothes! I was originally planning on getting Saila, then Léonie but then I looked at the last chance section. This girl was listed as low stock and tbh I'm amazed she didn't sell out before I got the money for her! I'm thinking of naming her Marni. It was so difficult to wittle down my cart considering I want like 99% of the outfits on their site! I decided that I'll make an order with all the Winter clothes I want later on. But she just shipped out today so hopefully she'll be here soon!
