A delicious and flavorful grilled chicken burger infused with Canadian-inspired maple syrup and Dijon mustard marinade, perfect for a BBQ feast.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 whole grain burger buns. 1 cup arugula. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 1 large tomato, sliced. 1 red onion, thinly sliced.
Instructions: Mix maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. This will make the marinade. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken breasts in a plastic bag that can be closed again. Place the bag in the fridge for at least 30 minutes with the lid on. Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Take the chicken out of the bag that it was in and throw away the marinade. Grill the chicken breasts for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked. While they are cooking, baste them with the rest of the marinade. On the grill, toast the buns for one to two minutes, until they turn golden brown. Put grilled chicken on the bottom half of each bun and then add cheddar cheese, arugula, tomato slices, and red onion on top. Add the top half of the bun to the burgers to finish them off. Enjoy your Canuck Cluck Grilled Chicken Burgers while they're still hot!
