These BBQ Maple Syrup Cupcakes are a fun change from regular cupcakes. The maple syrup and smokey flavor from the grill make them taste great together. Great for any event, not just a summer cookout!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/4 cup milk. 1 large egg. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Get your grill ready by preheating it to 350F 175C. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl and mix them together with a whisk. Next, melt the butter and add the maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract to a different bowl. Beat the egg in that bowl. Combine well. Stir the wet and dry ingredients together until a smooth batter forms. Put cupcake liners in a muffin tin and fill each one two thirds of the way to the top with the batter. Close the lid and put the muffin tin on the grill grates. Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle of a cupcake comes out clean. On a wire rack, take the cupcakes off the grill and let them cool all the way down. If you want to add more flavor, you can brush the cooled cupcakes with extra maple syrup. Enjoy your BBQ Maple Syrup Cupcakes after you're done making them!
