The Case of the Vandalized Maple

Before the Golden Bros left the museum, the guide handed Brock a small envelope.

"I think you'll enjoy your next stop."

Inside was a postcard showing a beautiful maple-lined park preparing for Canada Day celebrations. On the back was a handwritten note:

"Something isn't quite right..."

Curious, the Bros made their way to the park.

At first glance, everything looked perfect. Red and white decorations fluttered in the breeze. Families were setting up picnic blankets, and volunteers were preparing for the evening festivities.

Then Brock noticed it.

One of the young maple trees had been covered in colorful chalk drawings and playful doodles.

"It doesn't look damaged," Richard observed.

"No," Brock replied. "Just... unexpected."

A nearby park volunteer laughed as she walked over.

"We've been trying to figure out who did it."

Just then, a group of children approached, looking a little nervous.

"We're sorry," one admitted. "We wanted to decorate the tree for Canada Day, but we didn't know we weren't supposed to."

The volunteer smiled.

"Good news."

She pointed to a nearby wooden mural built specifically for community artwork.

"That's where everyone's welcome to create something together."

Within minutes, the children, Golden Bros, and other visitors were drawing maple leaves, footballs, and messages of friendship across the mural.

The little maple tree was gently cleaned, none the worse for wear.

Brock looked at the finished artwork and smiled.

Sometimes solving a mystery doesn't mean finding a culprit.

Sometimes it means helping everyone find a better way.
