She used the expression "marathoner".

Is it a fairly universal name?

I saw a marathoner running in rain gear this morning.

I think this is more of an ordeal

The person himself has no sign of stopping.

Marathon - the flower of the Olympics

Japanese who like stoic

They love marathons even at the Olympic Games.

They will watch the drama in the marathon

A drama that doesn't even exist.

I don't think this kind of competition is necessary.

かつて五輪真弓は「恋人よ」の中で

「マラソン人」なる表現を使った。

相当普遍的な呼び名か否か

今朝も雨のなか雨具を着て走るマラソン人を見た。

これって、むしろ難行苦行だと思うが

本人は止める気配がない。

Because it was a song that was played only here.

Of all things, a song like this...

When I listen to this song, I rather get angry.

Are marathoners masochists?

I think about the national character of Japan that is enthusiastic about such sports.
