The marauders band! headcanons
This is in celebration of my babies ten year anniversary!! Ten years of being a directioner, and I don’t regret a minute of it 💓 happy anniversary my boys 💞💞
It all came about one night over the summer at James’. Sirius has mentioned his recent love for a band Remus introduced him to called The Beatles and James had mentioned how he had taken up guitar because Lily mentioned something about it, and of course he had wanted to impress her. That’s when Peter said the magic words “imagine if we were a band” James and Sirius looked at each other, than to Peter as though he had discovered the most brilliant thing on earth. The three then looked to Remus, who sighed. “As long as I don’t have to sing”
Most definitely a rock genre band.
James was on guitar and sometimes sung backup
They all met up in the summers either at Peter’s or James’ because they had garages big enough for their equipment and Mr. Potter and Mr. Pettigrew were quite the handimen, and so they got the place soundproofed because once the boys started, they were rocking the place.
They did gigs in the room of requirement, at parties or Hogsmeade.
They write their own content, one time, James wrote a song for Lily and serenaded her with the help of the other three. Lily does not like to admit how much she smiled on that spring night in sixth year.
They do take requests as well, and boy do they get a lot of those. “I am not singing the BeeGees Prongs!”
James always invited Lily to their gigs.
She always came, and it was not just because James looked fit with that guitar. “That is so not the case Remus! Am I not allowed to come along and watch my best friend perform?!”
The four of them got a matching Duran Duran earring in their left ears. “It’s all for the aesthetic Wormy!”
James always did over the top guitar solos that everybody loved, including lots of headbanging and flourishing.
He grew long curls in seventh year for that very reason. Lily did not disapprove.
Peter may not have been the brightest of the bunch, but he played a mean drum solo.
Sirius definitely had the rock look down pat. He got dreadlocks, painted nails, smudged eyeliner, and wore his black boots and leather jacket to every gig. We all know it drove Remus insane
Remus always did piano for leisure, but never knew of how that would come in handy. The time he spent in the marauders band was one of the highlights of his life.
Even after the war was over and everything went wrong, Remus kept that earring. In a small box in his room. He wear it on his downest days, and get lost in the memory of being a member of the most rock n roll prankster group in the whole of 70s Hogwarts history.
