HYD 3rd Quarter Shoot | BTS
Here are some of my snap shots from my recent shoot with Hot Young Designers. It's the last quarter of the competition so make sure to stay tuned for the last collection to be released next month! :)
HYD: 1st Quarter
For some reason, I tend to always start my entries with "It's been a while since my last post" or "I haven't been blogging lately". LOL! Also for some reason, I've always described myself as a lazy blogger when in fact, I'm really just a "blogger-wanna-be" so.. that makes me a lazy blogger-wanna-be (hahaha!) poor thing!
Anyhow, that's just the first thought that came into my mind when I started typing this entry, which is really about my first shoot last September for Hot Young Designers. (See how lazy I am? Haha!) I wanted to create this post just before our next quarter shoot tomorrow.
Hot Young Designers Fashion Face Off Challenge 2011 is a competition consisting of 5 upcoming designers from highly acclaimed fashion schools in Manila. It's a 9-month long challenge with 3 quarters and each quarter, these designers are to make their own collections funded by the organizers of the competition.
I am really glad to be part of the team since I totally admire the project's advocacy. There’s no point sugar coating the fact that we have so much talented designers in the country that are having a hard time getting into the market since there's a tough competition out there. Projects like HYD is just one of those that breaks the wall and creates opportunities to hopefuls and let them show what they got. Check out HYD's website here to know more about this amazing project created by Ginger Arboleda and Sharon Sanchez Teng.
The following are a few of my shots from our first shoot.

Here are my behind the scene snapshots. I had fun playing around the tones of the bts shots. :) I still have a couple of videos taken during the shoot buried in my hard drive but still haven't gotten a chance to edit them.
Excited for tomorrow's shoot! Don't forget to check out http://hotyoungdesigners.com/ and support your favorite designer/s! Your purchases will serve as your vote! I told myself I'll visit the upcoming bazaars of the team as I failed to do so last quarter. LOL!
For the mean time, here's a sneak peak of the preparation process of the 2nd quarter. :)
Marc Blanco, one of the designer contestants of Hot Young Designers Fashion Face Off 2011, tells us about his design collection.
The results are out! Hot Young Designers congratulates the following designers for making the cut.
Watch out for their creations in upcoming weeks!
