-Notes from the Cast Reunion-
Just watched the video and noted some important/fun stuff, and here are some of the highlights!
Lisa has a headcanon that Claire and Jason end up raising two kids, Hunter headcanons that they’re both girls, and somehow they came up with a compromise that those kids both learn how to speak Mandarin and that Jason will teach them how to play baseball or something which is. unexpected. but very welcome. (fun fact: i’m amused by this bc i also have a headcanon where they raise two kids, and that the older one at least would be a girl, so that was funny. i think my hc had one girl and one boy, but two girls is pretty lit too)
Speaking of which, neither of them apparently talked about it beforehand, Lisa just mentioned it in passing, then Hunter eventually went “how many kids do we have???” which I find HILARIOUS
They came up with a cute little idea/AU where Deb and Warren think of starting a podcast together bc they realize that they make a pretty funny and quirky duo and would be great at making one
Jason is canonically an architect!!! I don’t know if that was obvious or not to y’all, but it wasn’t that clear to me, and I just thought of it by piecing parts together (like the drafting table and the verse in Favorite Places) and I’m so happy my guess was actually correct!
Deb, naturally, wouldn’t be handling the pandemic very well, but she would probably have weekly check-ins with Warren (who is using time in lockdown to be more creative and productive) to calm her down and I think that’s pretty lovely
They were teasing Adam about combining all these ideas to make a sequel and all the comments were supportive lmao. Y’all persuade him to do it or we’ll do it ourselves XD
They also invited a bunch of people from across the globe to join the Zoom, specifically people who were involved with productions of Ordinary Days whose runs where cancelled/postponed/cut short due to the lockdown, which was a little sad bc obviously you’d be disappointed if a musical you were part of couldn’t go on as planned, but it was still so so so lovely to see all these people come together and even see the unique ways that they could still present the show (one team is making some kind of podcast/recording-based thing which is really neat!)
There are other things that I left out/forgot, but these were some of my favorites. Hopefully this encourages you guys to still watch the vid for other stuff!
