I like writing soft male friendships.
My favorite thing with the fae is touch between friends is normal. It doesn’t mean hey we are dating, it means we both need this and it isn’t viewed as weird or too touchy. I’ve showed it before in the earlier books, sharing beds and cuddling close with each other. But I love it every time I bring it in. I don’t see this in enough male relationships. Just being there and close like girls are. So if you see me write this a million times everywhere, just know its my favorite thing.

He shifted closer to the twins, resting his head in Ysgafn’s lap. The other shifting so he could still talk with his brother and Aigean. One hand brushing through Croi’s dark curls and tugging on them, absentmindedly. Their voices and the playful fingers in his hair lulled Croi to sleep before he could stop himself.

She’s new but she’s fire and I love her and she never was supposed to exist but she slammed open the door and said hello world and fuck you at the same time. Eira is Cigfran’s sister, not quite sure if she’s younger or older. I’m sure she’ll let me know. She is affected by the magic that is ‘punishing’ his court. So she’s covered with raven feathers and has wings. As her brother does but he’s not as affected physically as her and the others.
However unlike her brother who is angry over it, she’s accepted it and is proud of who she is. She just wishes he could let go of the blame on himself and not keep such a wall between them.

Queen of the Winter Wilds and cousin to Raine of the Seelie court. She’s a small folk. A fairy. But her size doesn’t stop her. She’s the fiercest of nearly all Queens. Coming in second only to Mab, the mother of darkness herself.
She is queen with none at her side but she does keep consorts. Willing ones that want her. She doesn’t force any and she’ll protect them like the treasures they are to her. She even teases the offer to Croi but he doesn’t take it.

Small update with my plot XD
My brain decided for the big scenes with marcach that instead of it being a small group. All my characters and Croi’s allies are going to help. its only 20-30 characters. Plus another 20 that aren’t named but are still going to be there. The last big group I did was just the redcaps alone. This is the redcaps, smaller goblin groups, small folk(both light and dark winged), Slaugh, the wild hunters, the mad cap clan, trolls, and Croi’s brollachan. and one seelie and roane.
why do I do this to myself????????????
I mean its good practice for the end of the series when everyone is in one place but still there is so many. XD I can’t do a small cast. At least 20 of the characters are main cast and there most of the time. XD I’m really glad out of all my series to write, this is the only one with a huge ass cast.

Another small snippet that just felt so good.
The Dullahan didn’t have a court of their own because they were no longer a court. Back in days old, they had been. Or had been rumored to be one. But they were that no longer. They like the wild hunt, normally roamed to be where they were needed, where death called to them.
