Okay, so Remarkably Bright Creatures is a little masterpiece. It's so beautifully shot, and both Lewis and Sally Field are incredible (and Marcellus is the main star of the movie, no questions). I sobbed like a baby when Tova let Marcellus go and at her&Cameron final reunion.

Oh, and Lewis sings really great for an unprofessional.

that’s how you know Finn Bennett is absolutely phenomenal at his job. he’s so swoon-worthy in his interviews and in "True Detective".

honestly from the way you described marcellus in your fic he came off as very inexperienced…? i was gonna ask if he was really inexperienced and the marriage knot thing was like he practiced to give the illusion he’s more experienced than he is or it was just luck

I was genuinely curious if someone would spot the knot part I wrote. And I wrote it like that cuz everyone said that it's bad luck if a groom can't untie it. And as we saw in Lidia's case her marriage was not good and her husband did not end up well. So I wanted the knot part to be this kind of symbol that since it was so easy for him to untie it then everything will turn out great even though it's not so good right where we are in the story.

I wrote him as inexperienced cuz in the show he was very reluctant to bed women and we saw how sloppy he was in this one scene with Julia, how he leaned over her as if he didn't have strength to do it or didn't know how to do it properly. So I wanted to show it in my story as well. Since he doesn't cheat on her in it and it was said that they bed only once it was obvious to me that I shouldn't write him as very sure of himself and particularly experienced.

But it was so funny to imagine Marcellus practising to untie the knot days before the wedding. And I don't think that's beneath him, I bet he'd do anything just to not humiliate himself in front of his new wife like we saw Nero did.
