No matter how many miles away you are from the other person you'll try 119% to make up for when you finally see them. Each mile you're apart are reasons you'll tell the other how much you love them. Distance is how far we are from our dreams as well. If only we had a GPS that could tell us when we've reached our dreams. When I hear the word distance I think of miles of black tar roads being left behind as you drive down an empty road towards your idea of happiness. Distance is an obstacle for some but a journey for others.
YOU ARE SO FOCKING NARROW MINDED. We are NOT administration that y'all can say that "drama doesn't get its recognition" "choir doesn't either" LIKE WHAT. Okay cool you're venting about YOUR own problems BUT THAT DOESN'T SUPPORT YOUR ARGUMENT. & also, EVERYONE already knows you guys are talented enough to audition for plays & make cuts or audition for a team & makw cuts. Colleges can't look at it the same way as you do. Hate to break it to you, but entertainment isn't the thing that can prevent a disease or building the roads you drive on. & you said that 4.0+ students are "talentless." Excuse me? That's a big OUCH to the 4.0 students in BAND, SPORTS, & other clubs & extracurricular activities that are still able to maintain an even HIGHER gpa than a 4.0 such as a 4.17 or 4.3. They work HARD at what they do. They strive because they know the world is competetive. "These 'electives' create humanitarians, composers, and decent human beings who understand the value of talent and dreams." All sorts of wrong. These COLLEGE PREP CLASSES will be the ones where we will have HUMAN BEINGS(decent human beings? lmao you have GOT to be kidding me..) become doctors that will be saving your life one day, lawyers, and engineers and teachers. EVERYONE has dreams & they all have different views and perspectives on it. Anyone will be able to understand their own dream. Yes, i do understand that colleges & admin may not look as high on those electives as others, yet you're taking all the wrong turns at supporting your argument.
Okay first off, I just want to say congrats to those at my school that receieved shirts & had positive attitudes discussing the academic rally. Now that that's out of the way, I cannot even express ENOUGH my RAGE to the others in our student body. Okay, the whole point of this academic rally is to motivate people to want to do better & receieve a shirt that they're proud of. I was pretty upset that I didn't receieve the colored shirt I wanted, but it most def makes me want to try harder for a better one. & yeah I know that most people don't have the same mindset as me, but this is a rally for those that ACTUALLY improve & want to recognize themselves. Receiving a medal for first place for a swim meet/track meet, receiving the title "scholar athelete", & receiving a cum laude sash/rope(Tedman's wise words) is no different than receiving a shirt based on YOUR work ethic. It's all on YOU. Yeah, the world can't be a perfect place where we ALLLL receieve high af gpas & all get shirts, but there's a reason there are color for improvement as well. A .25+ gpa increase? Great. ☺ I don't understand why people have to be so negative about it. YOU aren't the ones paying for these shirts & setting up the rally. You're literally getting out of 30 mins of the ALREADY shortened day to cheer on your friends who receieved things they should be proud of. (I can vent more but I think i've done enough of that to others)
“Phoebe? Phoebe Addams?” she hears from behind her. It’s been a while since anyone’s called her by her middle name, but it’s as easy toanswer to as ever. She slows, allows herself to be caught by the man who’s calling. In half a second she’s met with a lip ring, hair longer than she’d prefer, and a pair of hazel eyes that stir memories of afternoons spent lazily in the woods and stolen kisses in theatre dressing rooms.
“Adam!” she exclaims, arms wrapping around the slim frame of the boy who’d held her heart when she was sixteen. “It’s so good to see you again.”
...
Brown eyes blink open lazily as Madge wakes slowly, swathed in unfamiliar sheets and cradled in someone’s arms. These are the moments that she lives for, when she feels safe, warm, and, at least momentarily, loved.
“The smile upon my lips, it will surely never die as I'm waiting here for you until you're by my side.” Adam whispers into her hair, and the blissful sigh she was about to release sticks in her throat.
“It is too early for poetry,” Madge huffs, already feeling reality rearing its ugly head.
“Oh come on, Phee,” he goads, using the nickname that he still thinks belongs to him. “You love it.”
“You mean I pretended to love it for four months,” she replies haughtily. That’s all it takes for his arms to stiffen, and the moment is officially over, just like that. Madge almost regrets it, but she’s too busy untangling herself from his grip and the sheets to give it that much thought. As she collects her clothes from the floor, he finally speaks up.
“What happened to you, Phoebe?” her third boyfriend asks, hazel eyes now cold. “I thought you were different.”
And she had been, at least when she was with him. Frayed shorts and wavy hair were just his style so she made them hers, too. Phee was a hippie-wannabe and theatre geek, but Madge wasn’t. “Life, I guess,” she answers, trying to be at least a little polite while making her way to the door just like she always does. Her answer isn’t what Adam wants to hear, though, as it rarely is, and she can feel his eyes boring into her back.
“You know, my friends always gave me hell for dating you. I guess they were right. You were just the school slut,” he comments, voice cruel and unlike she’s ever heard it. Still, Madge has heard it before, just in different pitches and tones; she walks out the door without a pause. She doesn’t have the energy to argue with him or formulate a cutting remark, and anyway it’s hard to argue with someone when you know they’re right.
I was running late getting ready for class today but I managed to look cute anyways which was a bonus.
I did have a test today in my ITE class and I was nervous cause it was closed book but I mean my teacher didn’t say anything about closed phones... I mean not that I cheated, I just had a little help from my bffl Google. But it was really hard and the way that test was structured, it was hard to study for unless you knew ahead of time how computers worked. So I don’t feel bad about cheating. But I did get a 74 which is a C so that’s okay.
After class I went by to see my mom but she was tired so I only stayed for a few minutes.
Then my dad and I went out to dinner and we went to this amazing Mexican restaurant and it was amazing! I had a steak fajita quesadilla and they put this amazing cheese sauce on it and it’s just so good!
After dinner we went to see my mom but she was still tired so we didn’t stay more than like ten minutes.
But after that we went to Walmart and my dad bought me candy and a really cute cup that has strawberries, cherries, and blueberries on it. It’s like a mason jar but it’s plastic and it has a handle, lid, and straw. But it’s super cute!
Then when we got home, I had my limited edition P4A TFIOS book waiting for me!
Now I’m just chilling watching some Minecraft and eating Cheetoes.
Fuck. I felt like this last week but it wasn’t as bad and it didn’t last that long.
It’s that feeling where I feel more and more unwanted and annoying and I retreat into myself and I feel like I can’t breathe and I just- don’t know what to do anymore. I feel sleeping but I can’t and I want to talk to someone but I can’t because they’ll tell me “don’t worry about what others think of you.” I fucking despise those words because it isn’t that easy for everyone and there is obviously something that is keeping me from doing just that. Don’t you think I would have stopped a long time ago? And at this point I have that sinking emotion that’s telling me I’m being a huge bitch to those who just want to help me and I’m fucking done with these conflicting emotions of regret and lack of worth and I just-- want. it. to. end. Please. I feel like crying.
I hate the entirety of this post and I want to waste away under the covers of my bed.
