okay so I’ve been meaning to say this for a while but I think I’m going to put Madge on a semi-hiatus for the time being b/c I just don’t have any muse for her right now instead you can find me for the moment at youbxryme, ofhelping, and notyoungest (:

“Well, if you’re working with Commander Hill, I suppose I could whip something up. I do pity anyone that has to deal with the CIA textiles department. What are you looking for?”

“Oof-” Brynhildr huffed as she turned a corner as she rushed through the busy New York street, running straight into another pedestrian. “My apologies, I should have been more careful!”
Texting and drinking coffee at the same time while walking to work guaranteed trouble, but that didn’t mean that soy latte barely missing the front of her shirt didn’t irritate her. “Yeah, well, my outfit’s intact so I guess I’ll let you live.”
Steve could tell the women was scared or nervous around him, he could practically taste it on his tongue and he sighed to himself because it was his own fault that she was scared of him. Hell she deserved to be scared of him. He was dangerous even now. “Steve Rogers, Ma’am. I didn’t decide it. Stark did.”
Usually being called Ma’am would have irritated her in the vein of “how old did he think she was?”, but instead it helped put her more at ease. His respect was reassuring. Sure, she was still uneasy, but her hands stopped trembling as she came farther into the room.
“Well, lucky for you Mr. Stark has good taste in designers. I promise there won’t be any tights and short shorts in your future.”
“Its not just a guilt trip, it’s like a guilt journey.”
“In my experience it’s best to just nod and try to look remorseful until they stop talking. Maybe throw in some flattery, too.”
“Just looking around really. So you’re responsible for making everyone look fashionable?”
“I like to think that I make sure everyone is dressed to be best equipped to deal with every situation, but yes, form certainly follows function very closely in this department.”
“Hi, I’m Claire Benett. I will be working with Ms. Hill for a few weeks.”
“Right. So what brings you to textiles? That CIA tac suit just not doing it for you?”
Steve knew Tony hired a tailor to make his new uniform but he couldn’t be bothered by it today. The former Asset didn’t want to spend hours trying to come up with a new look when his was just find but apparently it reminded the team of when he was controlled by Hydra. He sighed as he heard the elevator go off. “You the tailor?”
It almost felt traitorous to be designing a uniform for the former Winter Soldier, but Madge was trying to convince herself otherwise. He had saved people; he was a good man now. She took a deep breath before the elevator doors opened and tried to keep her hands shaking from nerves, or was it fear? Still, she walked into the room with perfect posture and an assured smile on her face.
“That’s me. Madge Addams at your service. Decided it was time for a new look?”
