Now at least eight beers in, Wolfgang was starting to really enjoy the karaoke, no longer teasing Felix about his choice of night out. He'd never been a mingler, that specialty solely his brother's, so initially he'd been incredibly hesitant to join such a large group of strangers in a nightclub. But it became easier the more he drank.
It wasn't long before the group were pushing him up on stage himself, egging him on, sick of his whinging. Barely anyone had sung in key and Wolfie couldn't stand it, knowing he could do better, but he resisted against them anyway, claiming he was too drunk to sing. Felix shut him down, and once again, his cockiness was his downfall. The song had already started, and it was one he knew well, but he faltered after the first few lines, suddenly finding his father's face in the crowd. "— world was made up of this brotherhood of man..." Anton laughed at him, doubled over in joy at his son's stage fright, and Wolfgang fell silent, suddenly shaken by the memory.
