How is Kasi a vampire in all ways but immortal?
...and is there reason she's so positive about it or is she just ridiculously sweet and even becoming some monstrous thing couldn't change that?
So, she isn't literally a vampire. It's just that her Frequency more or less makes her one?
She isn't immortal, nor does she die in the sun or via the other common methods (except the stake, since that's still getting stabbed in the chest and— I'm getting off-topic).
However, she does literally drink blood (though it isn't her only sustenance), she can physically restore her body via that, and she is physically weaker during the day (and stronger at night). That last one is actually tied to light, not time of day.
But she really is just that sweet! (✿◕‿◕✿)
Her life wasn't that great, and even when she's literally being hunted down when she's introduce, she's happy to meet new people in the form of Rain & Yun!
She's seen as monstrous to others, but she just so full of desire and passion that she couldn't be weighed down by it. She just wants to experience everything life has to offer!
I love her so much... (❁´◡`❁) I honestly can't wait to write her!
