One of my favorite photos I took today. I am not worried for our future. This is our future
Today I was reminded why I must never, EVER give up this fight. It's incredible what we can do when we remain strong, stand up in solidarity with one another, and make our voices heard. We will NOT be silenced. We WILL remain steadfast in our demand for justice and equality in this country. We WILL win the fight against hatred. And we will do so with radical, fierce love. #WhyIMarch #MarchOnLansing #lovetrumpshate #pussygrabsback (at Michigan State Capitol)
I took tomorrow off of work and sadly I'm losing a full day of wages, but this is so much more important. I'll make do in the end with money, but I will make sure I have my rights. #marchonwashington #marchonlansing
Anything you can do, I can do bleeding. I can do anything bleeding, can you? Today, I participated in the Women’s March in Lansing, MI. Many people say that everyone is equal, but I have to disagree. Today I marched: -because when I was 11 years old, I was removed from class and told to put on a sweatshirt because my top was more than two inches below my collarbone -because I was only 12 years old the first time I was sexually assaulted -because I was too scared to tell an adult because I was scared I would get in trouble -because I was unable to even call what happened to me a sexual assault until I was 20 years old -because when I went on a date with a boy and told him that story, he said “oh well” and tried to kiss me -because I was unable to tell my high school boyfriend because I was scared that he would see me as damaged goods -because as a sophomore in high school, I found out that boys talked about my butt and the things they would do to me as if I was an object and not a person -because I have to carry pepper spray with me on campus to feel safe -because I can’t go to meijer after dark by myself I stood up today for myself and for all women everywhere. #WomensMarch #MarchOnLansing #Feminism (at Michigan State Capitol) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7e3HKalEWL/?igshid=hp5ymzrxqmtx
Nasty women protest.
Another fan of kindness and equality. First sign I saw. #allHumansAreEqual #hope #marchonlansing #womensmarch
Pink was the color of the day. At Michigan's state Capitol building in Lansing. #womensmarch #marchonlansing #hope #allHumansAreEqual
