On the 9th of March 2016, activists from the Rhodes Must Fall in Oxford movement hosted a decolonisation tour of university buildings with connections to colonialism, centred around the statue and plaque dedicated to Cecil Rhodes, historical racist and founder of the Rhodes Scholarship.
