I was looking for a locksmith to rekey a few locks and Marco was the first to respond to my Yelp project. He asked for the address and wanted to come by in person. I realized afterwards that he didn’t mention how much the service visit would be or whether the estimate was free.
The communication between us wasn’t that great although the locks and keys he provided worked. He looked at the doors and recommended new locks because the locks were old. I was fine with that. He said he would come back at 5:30 PM with the parts.
He called later to see if I preferred gold/bronze or silver locks. I wish he had asked me that earlier. He also said that he could do the work and if I couldn’t be there, I could pay him the next day.
I thought it would take an hour to change the locks. It took 2.5 hours. He was missing a part, so he had to go to Home Depot. Even so, I was surprised by how long it took. He kept saying that he was done but then he kept working. Then he said it was company policy to be paid as soon as the job was completed. Fine, but then why did he tell me otherwise before?
