[ It wasn’t really a surprise when Protag came in late… again. For the second time this week. Secretary knew this and she definitely knew that it was probably him just waking up late, but she knew his strict schedule as well. ]
[ he also seemed to be very unprofessional. His lanyard was wrapped around his neck and it seemed like he didn’t even have a chance to grab his blazer, so he was quite a nuisance coming up to secretary’s desk even though she usually shooed him away. ]
> " I lost my key and I was wondering if I could have a spare, if it wasn’t too much to ask. "
[ at least he wasn’t beating around the bush, but it seriously wouldn’t be that hard to find your work keys and keep track of the time. He shouldn’t be late because of a silly obstacle like that. ]
She sports a bright smile, as if there's nothing she would rather do besides sit here behind the desk, and help out! Maybe her life's passion is faxes and phones.
There's no visible reaction to Protag's dishevelment, only drumming her painted nails as he speaks.
"Lost? A Key?"
Their voice is so airy, like nothing said actually gets through to their brain. Barely able to understand the idea of something being lost, she slowly nods, and dives under her desk to rummage around in a bottom drawer.
"Here! It's all brand new, you can put it on your lanyard! You'll never be late again!"
How chipper.
