The last thing Ronnie had expected to happen that morning was the fact that she was going to bump into someone from her past. Someone she hadn’t seen for years. The woman knew that she had changed her life for the best when she moved away from the people she had seen as her friends during her youth. It also meant leaving behind Juan. The man who had definitely been her first love. His family had always been there for her, especially his grandparents but also his brother. And it was Marco who she suddenly came across with that afternoon when she walked into work. A new chef had been hired, that was something Ronnie had known. The woman didn’t know that it was going to be him “Marco Santos? Is that really you? How long has that been? How have you been?” She was shooting question after question at him before realising that she was doing that. “Sorry, I should at least give you some time to answer.”
