Marcus Castillo had always been a man of reason, a former chemistry professor at Hawkins High who preferred solving problems with logic and precision. Born with a sharp mind and an even sharper wit, he’d traded the classroom for the darker corners of Hawkins as a private investigator, digging into the town’s messier, more mysterious affairs. His first cousin, Murray Bauman, often worked alongside him, their partnership as unconventional as it was effective. While Murray’s methods could be unorthodox, Marcus relied on careful analysis, digging into the details where others overlooked. They made a formidable team, but even Marcus couldn't ignore the strange things brewing beneath Hawkins' surface. The more he uncovered, the more he realized that some things couldn’t be explained by science. And some cases were darker than they appeared.
