“Awww.... come here, Domino,” he teased the kitten gently with a feather as it rolled around. Ever since he realized Frey and Jamie had been hiding a cat in their dormitory, he had taken every chance he could get to coax the cutie out of hiding. It approached curiously, reaching out to bat the feather a few times. After a minute or two of teasing the kitten, Lest put aside the feather and picked her up gently in both hands. “Upsie daisy, now! While your owners are out Domino, how’s about going on a trip?”
“Aren’t you tired of being cooped up in here all the time?” It wasn’t like this was the first time he took the cat out... it just looked a little stuffy staying in the dorms all day and night. He could empathize, sincerely. He brought the cat up to his face and pouted playfully. It meowed and put a paw on his face in response, and he couldn’t help but widen his starry eyes. He gasped gently at the touch, as amusement danced over his face. “I have been blessed.”
"That settles it. I, Sir Lest Pastforiere, will take you where ever you please!” Lest set the kitten in a gym bag and strolled off to the front of the dorms. And that was pretty much it. Haha. “Okay, just kidding, your highness. We can’t go far from home, alright? So this is as far as I can take you.”
He watched carefully as Domino popped its head out of the gym bag. One paw out. And then the other. When all four touched the ground, she made a break for it-- A fluff ball of a lightning bolt. He could feel his heart jump to his throat, before willing himself to calm down. “Wh-- Hey! Domino... Get back here!”
Lest’s dashed his heart out, praying for his legs to take off like the wind. And then there was a blur of blonde that obtruded his line of sight. Luckily, he could keep himself level headed, even at a time like this. “Excuse me-- Sorry!” He swerved smoothly, right before he could hit the kid in a full body collision, and kept running. Turning his head to salute the kid, he tossed out an apologetic smile. “Sorry--! The cat’s out of the bag.”
He kept dashing further and further away from the dorm grounds. Though Lest had turned his head away, he called out into the wind to address the kid directly. “I’ll be back! Don’t tell the teach, okay?”
