Do you ever just a see a picture/image that instantaneously inspires you to write a story? To create a character? This is one of them. One of the scenes I had most fun writing in my book Porter: William Chase was the prom scene on chapter four (Time After Time). “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” The first dialogue in my first book of the #MarcusMathiasSaga, entitled Porter: Marcus Mathias, begins with a beautiful and rare white Lion and Marcus. The lion represents Marcus’s Nana, a very special character for me who I loosely based on my own Nana, @mirandadulcilea, who is also a ferocious Leo. Meet #KOI5ab the somewhat rare planet in a three-star system. @nasa announced it today. “The KOI-5 star system consists of three stars, labeled A, B, and C, in this diagram. Stars A and B orbit each other every 30 years. Star C orbits stars A and B every 400 years. The system hosts one known planet, called KOI-5Ab, which was discovered and characterized using data from NASA's Kepler and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite missions, as well as ground-based telescopes. KOI-5Ab is about half the mass of Saturn and orbits Star A roughly every five days. Its orbit is titled 50 degrees relative to the plane of stars A and B. Astronomers suspect that this misaligned orbit was caused by Star B, which gravitationally kicked the planet during its development, skewing its orbit and causing it to migrate inward. This is our planet, #Earth, with all its satellites shown in this real picture from @nasa. The saddest part is only 40% of them are actually working right now, causing a real danger to us. More often than not, those “falling stars”, meteorites you see, are some old junk from our orbit falling down back home. Scary, but a fact nevertheless, and it’s only getting worse and more crowded with the race full on to occupy our stratosphere.
