(November 15, 2016) Marcus Orelias released a single called “¿Usted Dominicano?” which in Spanish means “are you dominican?”, according to Marcus Orelias, the song was recorded when he struck up a conversation with a Spanish speaking woman and she asked him if he was Dominican because he was Black and spoke Spanish. Offended implying Afro-Latinos or Black Americans who speak Spanish only come from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico or Cuba, he decided to record this as a response.
