my oldest oc, magpie would probably try and get a pet magpie but would settle for any bird 

any ferelden born oc of mine automatically adores mabari’s/dog :D (i’ll put a * by their name)

*evan surana: would have read about griffons (they’re a major bookworm) and would LOVE one. they’d leave the names to alistair (he thought of barkspawn for the mabari)

*kerensa tabris: nugs. they became completely enamoured with leliana’s schmooples during the blight. kerensa would have been responsible for the naming of schmooples II 

*arin hawke: DRAGON. she would probably name it aveline.

*lottie hawke: adores dogs but merrill would show her/tell her about halla and she’d be rather fond of those. her dog would be called pip

kira trevelyan: rabbits and nugs i guess because they’re like bald rabbits…she’d name them after flowers.

visenya adaar: cats. she especially loves kittens. she’d call one cassie (much to cassandra’s disapproval)

marley trevelyan: horses. being inquisitor and finding new horses/breeds for the stables is one of her favourite things to do

So this is a timeline divergence from Whispering Sands set roughly between the last chapter and the epilogue. (you don’t have to read it to know what’s going on really) In this version of events, Joaquín is a lot worse off than in the original. Also, there is no sword in this timeline.

wow that's pretty ridiculous to reject you half an hour after you applied. did he even read your application? also what workshops are you applying for? idk which ones i want to go for this time.

see that’s why i was SO ANGRY/BAFFLED initially, because it was like, “but did you even read my writing sample tho? was my writing good enough to get into the class tho??” it wasn’t even half an hour. i e-mailed the application to him at 9:07 and he replied at 9:24.

it was robert butler’s. stuckey-french’s, suarez’s, and franklin’s seats have all been reserved for actual english/creative writing majors so there’s no way in neither heaven nor earth i’m getting in any of those this term or even in the future probably (for non-creative writing majors the workshops with applications are really the only way we can get in. honestly, if i weren’t a rising senior i would have switched my major to creative writing right quick, gotten into the applicationless workshops i wanted, and switched back to chinese language and culture once classes started next fall, but i can’t do that cause i’ve already submitted my graduation check and it would screw that up). i also applied to this skip/butch horack fellow, and i don’t know how to feel about it. i wish there were more options/professors.

lowkey i think the “literary fiction” thing was the reason i didn’t get into crucet’s last term either, because when i applied a year ago and submitted something realistic she was all over me. i had a scheduling conflict that made it so i couldn’t be in her class (winegardner’s class was at the same time and i wanted to be in his more) and she kept me on her wait list regardless and her e-mails were just - super excited. but then i applied the next semester with a ghost story and i got the standard rejection e-mail.

CONSPIRACY/WISHFUL THINKING/DELUSIONS OF MY OWN GRANDEUR?!?! I THINK NOT.
