Uberhood (169) - DeBateau

Armand and Samantha's relationship deepened during the last few weeks. They are in a committed relationship now and want to let their respective families know about their relationship. On this particular day Samantha met Tara DeBateau, Armand's daughter.

Samantha was more than nervous to meet Armand's daughter. It wasn't just the fear of the unknown, but also the fact that she felt totally out of place. The moment she stepped into this opulent penthouse she felt intimidated and like a fish on land. She had absolutely no idea what to expect here. Armand took the lead and introduced the two. After a way too fast handshake and a small but awkward pause, Tara began to initiate a conversation. Tara: "So, Samantha. My father told me you are a teacher?" Samantha: "Yes, that's right. I was promoted recently and will start as a high school teacher as soon as I am transferred to a new school." Tara: "Mhm. A public school?" Samantha (confused): "As far as I know, yes. Why?" Tara: "Just asking."

Suddenly Chanel, Tara's dog, walked up on Samantha and began to sniff at her.

Chanel couldn't believe what she learned about Samantha that day. It was something she never sniffed on a person before. Was it really possible? POLYESTER?! Samantha felt very uncomfortable. She started to worry if it was a mistake and too early to meet Armand's daughter/ family.

After a bit more smalltalk Tara excused herself and went to the family's office to play golf. I guess Tara thought she did her part. Armand wasn't all too pleased with her behavior that day. However, he wanted to keep a stiff upper lip.

The next day Armand invited Samantha and her children, well at least those who live with her, for dinner.

Mare (euphoric): "Oh. My. God. Look at this place!" Erica: "IKR?" Tara (unimpressed): "Hello."

Erica: "A soda, please" Tara (shocked): "Excuse me? I'm not the-" Erica (amused): "I'm just kidding! Relax."

... Did Tara just meet her match? 😂

The rest of the evening went surprisingly well. Erica and Tara seem to actually have a lot in common and the way Erica responded to Tara really made an impression on her. Later Tara even rolled the following want ↑

I take this as a good omen.

Uberhood (156) - Ottomas, Samantha

Samantha Ottomas went on a blind date. Shortly before the date, she went to the bathroom, to check her appearance one last time. She was absolutely terrified. It's been a while since the went on a real date and the times have changed since then. She was so terrified she even considered leaving for a second. After some minutes to herself she took a deep breath and chose to step outside to greet her blind date.

Her blind date turned out to be a man named Armand DeBateau. Like Samantha, Armand is looking for a real relationship. Not some meaningless affair, someone to grow old with. The two of them hit it off right away and chose to give it a shot. 💕

They spent most of the evening playing poker and chatting. They noticed they have a lot in common and really enjoyed each other's company. The longer they spent time together the more the two of them opened up and got rid of their nervousness.

They had a great time. 🌹

The next evening Armand came by to drop off a gift for Samantha. He gave her a garden gnome. That's the cutest f* thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

Samantha set it up in the family's dining room.

Uberhood (131) - O'Mackey, Jules -> Ottomas, David

David Ottomas and Jules O'Mackey finally got engaged...

... and married. They had a very humble wedding ceremony with only their closest family members invited. (That was so chaotic like why were they standing so far away? 😂)

Overall it was a nice little get-together. Everybody had a lot of fun.

Okay Peter! 😂 He was reeaally into the music.

Samantha and Peter Ottomas still have some unfinished business but thank god it didn't overshadow David and Jules' special day. Can't invite anybody these days. 😩

Uberhood (115) - Ottomas

The Ottomas twins, Mare and Erica, grew up into teenagers. Mare recently had her very first kiss with Chris Greenman. 💞

Dora Ottomas faced death, and shocked her whole family, by being electrocuted. ⚡

Dora instructed Tommy Ottomas in arts and crafts. 🎨🧵

A few days after her scary electrocution, Dora faced death again, but this time for real. R.I.P. Dora Ottomas!

Now that Dora passed away, nothing was holding Samantha back anymore, she chose to finally divorce Peter. She put up with his shenanigans long enough. 🛑
