Tracy is to my right and Pete is to my left while I savor the victory of getting a Mare Island Brewing Co. hoodie to keep me warm in an unseasonably cold San Francisco July. We visited the Mare Island location and the lunched at the Mare Island Tap Room at the Ferry. Unbeknownst to most Vallejo is a marvelous little town at the north of San Francisco Bay that was once the Capitol of California. We sat near the Mare Island strait on both occasions of the Napa River while explored Vallejo and Mare Island. Vallejo It has lots of Victorian and early 20th century homes and architecture. It has a sizable Burner community who are artistically inclined. There are a lot of Steam Punk art and art cars in the community. The art cars can be seen at local parades.
