i think margot takes over the music room as her room instead of sleeping in the fishtank room. it makes her feel cold and confined in there, so she steals the couch and rearranges the piano room into her sleeping and painting space. RIP to her since she cant lock the door but oh well

11. If Rook got a chance to get Lucanis a second gift during game events what would it be? i have 2 other significant gifts margot gives him actually! one is another dagger designed by her, it's light and crow feather themed, with a sheath she painted herself in floral designs like the flowers in lavendel. margot has a history in blacksmithing but has been away from the forge too long to make something to her own high standards let alone his, so she commissions a friend from her apprenticeship days. it's her courting gift to him <3 he takes it everywhere and keeps it pristine but i think hardly actually Uses it. he's too afraid he's going to lose or damage it. the other is a little wyvern statue she commissions davrin for (he razzes her about it for weeks). this one was just supposed to be a nice, "im going to get you things because i like you" kind of gift, but it happens late in the game so davrin doesn't have a chance to finish it until margot is trapped in the fade. davrin gives it to him while she's gone and i think it's the first thing that makes lucanis really break down and cry

12. What would Lucanis get for Rook at the Treviso market? either paints, a journal or something sweet! margot really likes to draw scenery and people, and she loves to paint whenever she isnt traveling for long periods of time which the lighthouse is great for. i think treviso would have definitely have art materials for sale somewhere in the market, and lucanis seems attentive enough to pick up something she would get a lot of use out of. for something sweet, margot has a big sweet tooth and lucanis likes to indulge her even very early on because she is delighted every time she gets to have a treat of some kind. her favourites are chocolate pastries, and later churros.

17. What does Rook think about Spite? How does it change over time? she's a little wary of spite in the beginning, and concerned when spite hurts lucanis for not getting his way, etc., but not hostile towards lucanis for it. she's very curious about him but recognizes that lucanis doesnt want a ton of prying questions about the worst thing that happened to him, so she keeps a lid on it early on. but going through solas' ritual unlocked latent magic in her and over time as it starts developing more, she starts being able to hear spite like emmrich, and that only makes her more curious. the more she learns about spite the more she gets it. he's having to learn a whole new confusing ass world, all while feeling trapped and often threatened. she tries to push lucanis and spite towards working together over time, and she becomes really fond of spite. this is terrible for lucanis because they'll side with each other and he has to tell them both to stop encouraging the other. spite likes that margot reads to him on nights when she's awake but lucanis is sleeping

how does your oc die?

thank you for the tag @cheaploafs <3 sorry it takes me 1 million business days to play tag games. ummm i tag @thelordofblades and @lhazaar and anyone who wants to play <3

this ended up being just for margot, but i plan to come back to it for some of my other ocs!

Does your OC die before or after their lover? How old are they when they die?

Lucanis dies before Margot does, in his mid-fifties. Margot dies a few years later in her early 60s.

How did they die?

Margot ultimately dies of a chronic illness in her lungs after years of blight damage, working the forge, and hosting Spite after Lucanis' death. The night before they had defeated the Gods she had made a deal with Spite that, if Lucanis died before her, she would host him; having his strength on top of the potions gave her extra time to spend time with her daughter and siblings. Eventually she got too sick, and neither the magic nor Spite could keep her lungs clear. One very early morning the thickening in her lungs got to be too much so Spite dragged her to Advik in a futile attempt to help her. She dies being held in her twin's arms. <3

What was their last words?

Her last words to Advik were to take care of her daughter, Marisa, and to tell everyone she loved them - "everyone" being her friends from the Veilguard days

How are they mourned? How do all their loved ones react?

The whole Veilguard feels it when they get word from Advik, although Emmrich is gone at this point. While her siblings, Advik, Meera, daughter Marisa, and partner Emilia take it the hardest, Neve and Davrin are also both hit harder than they anticipated. They knew she was sick and wouldn't live forever but it's hard to acknowledge the missing space where she should be. They both get caught up in what else they could have done for her.

Meera spirals out hard. She admits to Advik at one point not wanting to be the last one alive and having to be alone after surviving everyone. Advik writes about Margot's death, and about her, and finds comfort in that. Emilia also spirals out, but tries to stay strong for Marisa's sake because she's still a teenager

Marisa has to leave her mother's forge for years after her death because it is too painful to be there without her parents. She bounces between staying with Advik in Nevarra and Emilia in Rivain, eventually staying in Nevarra for longer because it felt like the only place she could put her grief. She never fully recovers, but I think finds her own spirit friend in the Necropolis eventually and that helps. It's familiar.

A memorial is put up in the Necropolis to honor her but her body is buried next to Lucanis'.

im thinking of shuffling around the places margot has lived bc i do quite like her spending a lot of time in ferelden and if she lived there with leo she would be much more hesitant about going back often in case someone recognizes her and connects something back to leo's death. but also her mother's grave & tree are there so she has to go back sometimes <3

thought about margot at weisshaupt while in the shower and not only is she caught off guard Way more than she expected to by the archdemon and the Song in her head but i think her enhanced sense re: darkspawn goes Nuts and she briefly flips out about feeling every part of the horde while out on one of the walls. like full panic, "i feel like im a part of them" flip out. davrin pulls her out of it i think largely by getting her to focus on him like an anchor through the noise

lucanis is probably also flipping out who knows. watch your crush have the worst day of their life
