it just feels wrong. they call themselves a "developed society" and it's true they're not missing many material goods. although the more they have the more scared of not having much they are. but as humans ... they are so poor. they lost their humanity almost. they can barely recognize the universal human language ~ a smile caring for each other showing genuine interest. life feels tough. it feels like there's no possibility to grow anymore and that is a sort of death. is this where I want my child to live? probably not
