As a treat, I thought I would share the cut funeral scene. Ion have anywhere else to put it so why not just make it a separate post y'know

The funeral was quiet. Silent. Ford hated it.

When they were children, neither of them could have a moment of peace courtesy of Stanley for the most part. Ford hated it at the time, how Stan would always come to him about what he saw at the boardwalk, or who he saw with whom, maybe what they should do next for the Stan O' War, even something not as attention-grabbing like him humming a tune from the radio, tapping his foot or his pencil when he was reading his comics, or even just breathing. If there was noise anywhere, he knew Stan was right beside him.

Stanley always hated silence.

For the first time in years, Ford knew why.

Ford hated silence now, too.

He recalled a conversation, back from their youth, about how they wanted to have their funeral. A rather morbid topic, Ford granted, which was why Stan always lightened it up with his answers.

"I want someone hide a disco ball in my casket," Stan once said, "And once they open the casket, it'll put the 'fun' in 'funeral'!"

Ford laughed, as he always did, "And you'd get someone to dance your body, too?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Stan, that's terrifying!"

His twin just scoffed and said, "You know what else is terrifying? Having your body be launched into space!"

"It's for science!"

And then they'd laugh before their mother would come to their room and scold them for being loud and to go back to sleep.

Ford sighed before resuming their topic, "But how would you want your funeral to go?" And Stan went quiet for a second, just a second, before replying.

"I just want you to be there. I don't really care."

Ford frowned. "I don't really like the idea of you dying, let alone dying before me..."

"I don't like the thought of you dying before me, either, Sixer."

There was a pregnant pause before Stan came up with his genius plan.

"Either we die together, or we don't die at all!" His brother announced, grinning wide and proud.

And Ford smiled back, "Yeah! That way, we have all the time we have to drive each other crazy!"

Ford thought that would be how it ended. How they'll live their lives with each other by their side and wouldn't have to worry about losing each other.

You weren't supposed to go before me, Stanford thought. Why would you leave me...?

But he knew why. It was all because of him. His stupid mistakes. His hubris which lead him to his brother's demise.

The blood was on his hands.

He felt an arm on his shoulder. His Ma.

"Stanford, honey? Are you okay?" His mom asked. She didn't know. She didn't Ford killed his brother. She didn't know he was a monster.

"I- I don't know... No..." Ford replied.

He felt another arm on his back.

Fiddleford had come with him to the funeral. A shoulder to lean on which he didn't deserve. "Do you wanna go up and see him?" He asked.

And Ford, like the selfish coward he was, said no.

He couldn't stand to look at what his actions cost him.

His hands felt empty. Lonely. The one person who could've helped was lying down on a coffin about to be buried six-feet-under.

Their father was nowhere to be seen. Good, Stanford thought, He doesn't deserve to see Stan after what he had done.

Neither should Ford, really. But he knew he was a terribly selfish man. He needed to be near his brother one last time for his own sake.

He heard the rabbi say the prayers and it was time to lower the casket.

Ford saw the dirt cover his brother's casket. His brother's body. His brother. He wanted to hold on, to say goodbye one more time. The last time they parted ways didn't count. It shouldn't count.

But he couldn't even reach him. He couldn't even talk.

I'm sorry, Stanley.

Stanley couldn't respond. Couldn't even hear him.

Ford was too late.

I feel like Watchdog Ford and Dr.Pines/ABW!Ford are liked fucked up parallels ykno?

Both lost their Stan in a really sad way, which changed the trajectory of their lives to which they set their sights on helping or "helping" Stan from bad Fords with Fiddleford helping them with it (for the most part)

It's just that Dr.Pines is more "I want him for myself and that other guy (cannon Ford) doesn't deserve him" but probably has a chance to redeem himself maybe?

So with that, could Dr.Pines be part of Watchdog Ford's team of helping relocate different Stans to different universes?

I probably am not the best person to ask about Watchdog's opinion of Dr. Pines (you can probably ask @nowimjustastranger / @mistertiberius for that), though, it's pretty obvious he just doesn't like him because of what he's doing

But if Dr. Pines does get his redemption arc and he, somehow, is on good terms with both Jerk Ford AND Watchdog? Idk maybe? It'd be a lot of "you tried to steal Stan from the canon dimension, you don't get to talk" "It was one Stan!"

Maybe a sometimes kind of team up? Idrk how they'd interact on good terms yet soooo

I think Reverse Stan has a slightly better chance and he's also in the anti Jerk Ford club (granted he doesn't actually hate him and probably left the moment he noticed why they hated him)

My predictions for the Everything... sequel. (Tumblr ask box might eat quality) I don't know why ABW!Ford would choose to speak in Spanglish.

Canon Ford is just "Can't you see you're only hurting yourself? I know how you feel, I know the pain of losing Stanley and the guilt of it being your fault. But you're not only hurting yourself, but you're hurting Stanley as well!"

And ABW!Ford is like "you guys hear that? Hmmmmm... Sounds like bullshit."
