Maria stood outside of Michael's apartment door, doing her best to build up enough courage to knock. It had taken her two days to get out of bed and make her way over here. He'd called several times...texted. But Maria hadn't been able to answer. Because she knew the minute she did - she'd need to tell him.

Tension coursed through her body. She slid her hand down the strap of her purse - the stick was in there, she'd brought it just in case he thought she was losing her mind. A part of her wished she was.

The blonde had been sick for over two weeks, she thought it was the flu or something...she hadn't expected this. Not until Liz was complaining about cramps the other day and Maria realized...she should have gotten her period weeks earlier.

Pregnant. When the plus sign popped up on the test she'd locked herself in the bathroom and cried for far too long. Her mother was going to kill her. And if that wasn't bad enough, Maria had no idea how Michael was going to take the news. This changed everything. Not just for her - but for the pod squad. A half human, half alien baby? They didn't even know the reprecusions of that...

She let out a shaky breath, lifted her hand and knocked on Michael's apartment door.

"Oh Spaceboy," the sing-song tone slid from her lips as she made her way through the apartment door, one hand full of mail and the other carrying a bag of takout from the Crashdown. "You'll never guess what I have here in my adorable little hand." She called with a grin.
