How can I dress up to look gender ambigous?
It’s really a matter of personnal preference. Personnaly, what I do is that I shop in both the men and the women’s sections, and I just wear what I like. I also feel like larger clothes make the silhouette less visible and it makes me more ambiguous looking.
But really, my advice is that you should experiment with fashion, with things that are considered more feminine, others more masculine, mix and match them as you like.
I’m no expert on that though, if another mod or anyone else wants to add something, that’d be great!
If you aren’t quite out, or are just nervous, hoodies are your best friend, for they are a unisex clothing that really covers up that whole chest area.
If you are afab, binders or a tight sports bra may help flatten out somethings, as long as you try to use them safely and only for short periods of time.
Beanies can also help hide feminine or masculine hairstyles, or tuck in extra hair. Getting a more androgynous haircut if you can might be helpful towards you, and if you are closeted, a good argument towards parents is that lots of girls have pixie cuts or lots of boys have longer hair.
Also I would recommend going to places like nbselfielove or nonbinarycuties or just google pictures of androgynous people to pick up some style tips.
