✘ shadow of the past. taexshi
there was a hum escaping his plush lips while he walked over the stony path of the park. with the tip of his shoe he kicked away a few stones, listening how they would knock against another stone. even the great narcissus had those few moment when he would rather enjoy to be alone and without anyone else. even without his phone buzzing endlessly. he enjoyed the attention he got all the time. he loved it when people praised his looks and simply stared at him; adored him. he was narcissus after all. so of course he would bath in such situations. but there were a few moment in his life that even taemin prefered to be alone and for once bath in depression; or something like this. because loneliness was his steady comrade.
as pretty his life seemed from the outside; it wasn't. at least not if you were him and knew all the dark sides of it. born with a undeniable beauty because he was narcissus, born with a curse that he would die alone as a punishment. years ago he wouldn't thought that this was possible; he would think it was still all in his own hands. but the day he would lock up his baby sister in a mirror and destroy it out of envy -- he knew it was possible to die alone. no one knew about it. they all knew she vanished, was gone but not even his parents knew that he was behind all this. that he had trapped her there and killed her. well, not killed. he knew she was still alive but in a world where no one else had access aside from him and he was too weak; never trained his power. and he wasn't a god to begin with. and the guilt for this would weigh him down sometimes. often. but he would never tell.
taemin looked up while his gaze had been fixed on the ground underneath his feet all the time. he turned his head to the side, gaze getting stuck at a petite pretty girl sitting on a bench. and eventhough he knew it couldn't be her -- she looked like her. the blonde male froze on the spot. he forgot how to breath for a little moment. he bit down on his lower lip and his small hands were shaking. it couldn't be her. it couldn't -- but it still felt like this. and it felt like he would crumble underneath of the weight of guilt. he had never seen her, or at least this was what he thought -- but she was still so familiar to him. everything spinned inside of his head and he forgot where up and down was. and not once he would tear his gaze away from her.
