Hi, (I'm waving excitedly). Im doing aerial firefighter. I haven't touched this one in a while, so I'm happy to work on it. I was also watching my high-speed chase show while writing.

🏃‍♀️ - sprint - do a set amount of time writing

I added about 500 words to this and I actually love what I wrote.

Jake twisted in his seat, staring through the rear window as the massive tanker disappeared into the smoke. “No way he was cleared that low,” Jake said, eyes trying to follow the tanker. Javy barked out a laugh that sounded halfway between admiration and panic. “Brother, cleared? That dude saw God, shook his hand, and kept descending.” The radio crackled violently. “—All ground units evacuate Somerset immediately. Repeat, fire jumped the containment line. Air support is making emergency drops danger close.” Jake grabbed the mic. “S12 to dispatch, S13 and I are evacuating. I think we still have civilians near Cedar Ridge.” A burst of static answered him before another voice cut in—calm, male, and weirdly casual considering the chaos outside. “Tanker 1 to S12. You boys might wanna step on it and check. The ridge is about to light up.”

I am doing better than the last few weeks, that's for sure. Bo(the horse) did get outside privileges revoked cause he did everything he wasn't supposed to do, so back to stall rest he went.

💕 My favorite Fic that I've written is gonna have to be Do Think I'm Spooky? Even though it's not posted yet, I have put so much time into it, and I'm really proud of it! I hope everyone enjoys it when it gets posted. I really enjoy the dynamic of Jake and Bradley and Mulder and Scully. Bradley is equally as chaotic; he's just hiding it, and I am so excited to put my favorite quotes and episodes into chapters. if you look at IRIS on my Ao3, I have quotes there I'm waiting to use.

🦋 I am really enjoying writing Fanboy. He gives chaos energy, and I love that. It's just so fun to write him as the chaos gremlin who forces the others to go along with his plan or giving him little lines here and there out of nowhere cause its fun. I think he knows Mav is also a gremlin, but he is the superior chaos gremlin and wants to learn his ways, but he has realized that Bradley is the other chaos gremlin, and he is both amazed and afraid.

I hope you enjoyed it, and I look forward to whatever you post in the future. I wish you the best with your classes at school. You're gonna ace them and do amazing!

🤷‍♀️ - shrug - what are you feeling 'mleh' about with this fic?

I think I'm still feeling mleh about the cohesion of it. I still want it to be X-Files, but finding a way to connect to Top Gun context is still throwing me for a loop sometimes. I have googled so many things to make sure it will fit. I also can't decide if i want to base in in the 1990s or current day,

Jake walks back to the car, tosses the paint can back into the trunk, closes it, and goes back to his side of the car. “What the hell?” Bradley says while returning to the passenger side of the car. Jake looks at him and gives him another cat-like grin before answering  “Oh, that was nothing important.” He gets back into the car, leaving Bradley to look at him. He wonders if Jake is playing games or if he’s just one incredibly weird dude.

Hi, so sorry for the very late response, it's finals week, aka hell on earth. Thank you for the ask though!!!!!!!!!

🤬 bitch about something about the work that annoys you.

Something that has been annoying me is having to flip between the script and the episode every few minutes while I'm writing. since this one follows the X-Files story pretty closely. Also, making sure my little odds and ends from TopGun Maverick make sense in the story. It is so much back and forth, and my beta reader can not currently beta read cause they are also doing finals, which is fine and I love them but I miss them.

🪡 work on tying your work together (aka editing/cleaning) and 🧩 add to it (write >100 words or 10 min sketch)

I put these two together because I worked on it this morning. I feel like I'm constantly cleaning this work, but I suppose that is a good thing. And for the second part, I added 1,000 words because I put my focus song on and then lost track of time. I love waking up at 6:30 natural ( I don't), the perks of growing up on a farm.

The rental car they are in comes to a halt in the middle of the road. Jake jumps out of the car, not before popping the trunk. He runs to the trunk and starts to rummage around through their things. Bradley exits the car, curious to see what Jake is looking for.   Jake has produced a can of orange spray paint.

💡 share something that inspires you for the work

Well, I think this one is a little obvious. I grew up watching The X-Files with my parents, and it has become my comfort show. My parents even found the Barbie and Ken set for Mulder and Scully for my birthday, and it has become my prized possession. I also just love spooky things, always have.

I'm feeling mleh about a lot of things for this work. I have the ideas, but getting them out right now is really hard. Also, I can't decide where I want to set this, like season-wise. I love many characters and want them all, but timelines are, sadly, somewhat important in this story. I will carve out some time this weekend to work on it, hopefully. Thank you for the ask!
