“Fall fell from August & the petals all dropped off / We’re always finding old lives to run away from / & I started to believe it...” • Field Report was oh so intimate & cathartic at the Globe last night. All words & colors, feelings & seasons. 16 songs (plus two brand new ones!) spread across three albums that have meant a ton to me at different points of my life. These songs have managed to thread together some strange seasons, & hearing them all in a row was special in the way that just keeps me coming back to songs & albums & music. Thanks Chris for stopping off in Denver & helping us celebrate the beginning of Fall. Also, “Marigolden” has always been my go-to “airplane” song & here I am looking at three mini flights to Salt Lake, LA, & Tulsa in the next five weeks! Jane Harmony, where ya at?! #concertjournal #marigolden #summertimesongs (at Globe Hall) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bntkx9rld5N/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rkll8zc2ea9b
"We made up constellations / Unicorns with Roman candle horn approximations / & I started to believe it..." Headed for good ol' Eau Claire (via Minnesota this time!) See ya tmrrw night @fieldreportmusic ! • #returntotheriver #EXC3 #marigolden #A30 (at Denver International Airport)
And you are free, and I am free now To extricate ourselves from the mud

If you're unfamiliar with this album, then you're really missing out. It's become one of my favorite this year, full of heartbreak and hope and feelings that we all struggle with. And the way Chris delivers his words is so powerful. Do yourself a favor and spend some time with this album.
