im sorry if its a little hard to follow im thought dumping and also actively remembering some of this stuff while writing it down because i was stupid and didnt write down THE ONE CONCERETE SCENE IDEA I HAD???? also yeah this is long whoopsies enjoy

anyways im doing old me from two to three years ago justice for back when I had the idea for longfic of just what if themis but gay. like really gay. like why give them such good chemistry with each other and then you're stuck with my beautiful dear rosa who I love dearly but also is intentionally basic for the self-insertability as most of these kinds of protagonists are.

but yeah (more than just a basic premise but lets pretend its basic) premise at the time was wow fic starts before rosa's story does and we get marius and luke meeting but make it really embarrassing for mr luke pearce specifically. Luke, who was on some sort of mission, is running away from a pursuer who caught him sneaking around looking at evidence through alleyways, and he's trying to sneak back home while he can or just get out into the streets on the sidewalk where this guy can't run after him without looking absolutely crazy and drawing attention. Marius is walking to a nearby cafe for a rest break after giving like little community art lessons as a little side project because while he doesnt have much free time at all in his life, its this silly little project of his he does pretending to be some ordinary person just to get a brief escape and also help kids live out their dreams of being artists. But anyways luke in his focused-on-running away state comes out of an alleyway and rams into marius so badly that they both fall over with luke on top of marius, so close to his face that marius can feel his breathe on his cheeks and they've locked eyes and were so close to kissing during and after the fall (literally falling for each other ehehehehe). Luke's brain shuts off in embarrassment and he stays on top of him for a bittt longer than he should and then once marius brings him back into reality by being like "uh could you maybe get off of me" luke JUMPS up and luke is just profusely apologizing and also helping pick up marius' art supplies and other items that fell out of his bag (this man is carrying a tote bag bc i say so). Marius is mostly fine until he realizes that in the fall, he'd used his hands to catch himself on the way down so he didnt hit his head and the palms of his hands are SO SCUFFED UP by the pavement to the point where its bleeding a little and generally he still bonked his head a bit bc wow after having a person fully fall on you who also is a muscular secret agent that maybe would thwart your attempts at catching yourself during the fall. The moment luke realizes he's injured this guy he gets even more embarrassed and apologizes even more until marius laughs a bit at the absurdity of this very seemingly unrealistic scenario unfolding right in front of him and then luke calms down a bit and maybe that embarrassed blush on his cheeks becomes a different kind of blush...

Then, when luke offers to patch him up at his antique shop like not very far down the street marius is like y'know what sure you seem very well intending and literally are acting like a kicked puppy (lets pretend marius doesn't have major trust issues rn for the plot i wrote this so long ago ill probably fix this later). Cue luke guiding marius down the busy sidewalk gently holding his wrist in a way that doesnt mean anything now but will be on both of their minds later and then once they reach the shop luke patches him up and there's some cute really fluffy hand bandaging and luke checking to make sure his nasty scrapes are disinfected properly and all patched up. During this also they chat a little with introductions and talking abt the store and where they both were just coming from. Luke also does not realize in his floaty embarrassed and concerned state that this marius von hagen in front of him is THE MARIUS VON HAGEN and marius realizes that and is even more amused by this situation and this random stranger's kindness. Once marius' hands are fixed up good enough for luke, they prepare to part ways after talking a bit more until marius gets up from where he was sitting and winces a little and luke just stares at him and is like "sit your ass back down where else are you hurt" (said by the man who would never let anyone else see those wounds if it was himself) and then marius is just like oh i guess my upper back and head hurts a bit since those parts also may have taken most of the impact after someone fell on me and didnt think to save my poor head from the impact and luke just like wants to cry on the spot because he's a dumbass and definitely could have caught his head on the way down since he's very much a quick thinker and mover obviously but was too damn distracted. So then cue luke forcing marius to take of his shirt to look at his back and make sure he didnt break anything and then also inspecting the back of his head and testing to make sure he isnt concussed. Thankfully, by the power of the gay gods and who knows what, marius is just minorly concussed and has some pretty bad bruising on his upper back and shoulder but is otherwise all good (also luke gently touching marius' head and back makes both of feel things dont you worry they both need their fair share of things they think are embarrassment to later realize are maybe the beginnings of romantic feelings). Luke feels like he wants to implode after hurting him and feels so bad and asks if he can compensate him in any way or help or do something after hurting him like this but marius just laughs it off and is like hmm maybe your number (teasing in his usual manner) and then luke's brain overloads. Then marius is like "im joking dw but if you feel that bad and wont let it go then if i need something ill text you and also you're fun to talk to anyways" so luke is just like "oh okay" and yay friendship? Luke offers to also drive him home and marius is like oh okay sure if you insist again (except he tells him the address of his studio bc no way is he bringing him to the von hagen estate when he's trying to cherish this olne day someone is just treating him as him and not the great heir of pax) and they have a silly cutesy carride with a bit of playful banter and they're getting along super well and then they pull up to the studio and they're both sad to see each other go but luke is like "please get your head checked out soon!!" and marius keeps doing a silly little laugh at how cute this guy is that also makes luke's heart jump every time for some reason and wow meet cute of the century.

Im purposefully only dumping that much for them rn but point is, super cutesy fluffy fic that will then be hit by terrifying angst and then more fluff (and maybe smut ;)) but yeah if you like the vibes of this then please force me to make this real i really want to but just am scared and i have much more stuff planned including steamy artevyn (please make that the popular ship name for them now 5 years into the en release of the game idc it sounds so nice and also yes artem is topping that guy but no im the biggest vers and switch supporter ever who cares who tops and bottoms dont give them top or bottom personality pleasee)

other brief notes that really went into the core making of this fic idea is i want to be artsy as hell with my writing so expect that, like i had such a distinct color pallette thing going on for each of their povs back when i first imagined this stuff in my head (also both of the main ships here being warm x cool colors changed my brain a little bit). also one of my biggest grievances with the canon story of this game is that they never give marius focus on his college life and while its grad school and obviously being the temp head of pax is more important, one of his whole big things that couldve been a big thing is the struggle to juggle his double life almost of trying to be a "normal" person at college and avoid scandal and the public eye while also being him and having fun, and then the switch to suppressing his true self to be the perfect ceo in place of his brother (while using his usual teasing and smug charm to deflect from the fact that this is somewhat miserable and to seem like he still is himself). In a silly way part of doing that is just like wow give this guy glasses he looks good in them he's wearing contacts to work and glasses to college make that canon but also like yeah his style and hair also change too so its fun and metaphorical and WHY DIDNT THEY DO THIS (ik it was starting game budget probably considering how long it took for any of them to get different hairstyles but gah).

I also just want to give the mls proper interactions with each other throughout a modified version of the main story because yeah that always pissed me off that even ignoring chemistry and romance stuff that none of them besides vyn and marius really had like super distinctive relationships with each other (until eventually we got luke and marius crumbs but like it was always just love rivals bs that made me want to die reading it). Andddd maybe make rosa enby and and actual character but like dw abt that thats a secret for when fic exists. actively getting more motivated to write this again as i write this though so yeah anticipate great things :)
