Bro as someone who uses a walking aid (a cane) and is disabled seeing the new trailer for Miraculous Ladybug makes me absolutely furious. I have never felt so much hatred for a fictional character before and yet here we are. I didn't like Marinette before but like, this just. This hits way too close to home and I know Astruc is going to frame it in a way that makes Marinette the good guy. But NOTHING excuses touching a disability aid without permission, especially fooling around with it and sabotaging it. And the fact that a younger generation is going to see this, I absolutely can't. I feel so bad for disabled children who will see this scene on TV and have their feelings be in the wrong, shown that they are the bad guys for getting upset, or heavens forbid being disabled. Screw you Astruc.

Plagg's Wish

It was over. Monarch had the Cat and Ladybug MIraculouses and was prepared to make his wish. And yet, he was too distracted by his son's body, the crumpled form he caused, to start the process. Marinette chastised him and the two started talking, taking their focus off the two traumatized kwamis expected to reshape reality.

Plagg was already apoplectic, but the decision to lie to Adrien yet again sent him over the edge. Never before had his rage boiled to such a level. Were he not focused, the resulting outburst would have made the destruction of the dinosaurs look like squashing a fly.

"Tikki, Plagg, reveal yourselves!"

Tikki gasped as she was forced into her full form, but knew there was no stopping her partner. Gabriel blanched, eyes wide as grapefruits.

"I-Impossible! You can't do this!"

Plagg did not dignify the bastard with a response.

"Gimmi, reveal yourself!"

From the Kwami of Reality, Plagg's voice spoke alone, something until now unthinkable.

"I wish Adrien were happy and loved. I wish that Adrien was safe from Gabriel's evil and his cowardly assistant. I wish Adrien was safe from Marinette, for reasons too long to list! I wish that Adrien could just live quietly as a normal boy with at least one supportive parent."

Marinette turned red with anger and embarrassment. Both she and Gabriel tried to protest, but were drowned out by Gimmi.

"This can be done only at great cost. What will you sacrifice?"

Plagg's voice responded immediately.

"My power and immortality. They mean nothing next to my kitten."

"Wait!" Gabriel argued, "There has to be a Kwami of Destruction! The universe depends on it!"

Plagg scoffed.

"That may be, but it doesn't have to be me."

Gimmi's voice boomed through the room.

"The deal is made. So be I."

Do you agree that Marinette would have WAY more haters if she were a dude named Marin and Adrien were a girl named Adrianne?

Obviously because double standards

When she does it, it’s cute (It’s not and makes me wanna throw up) when Marin does it, it’s perverted and he needs to be locked up before he commits S/A

A girl takes multiple photos of a guy without him noticing? “Aaw, that’s adorable! She has a crush!” Barf.

A guy doing that? “Ew! What a stalker! Lock him up!” Again, barf.

Marin would have been arrested in the first or second season

My thoughts on Marinette

When I started watching the series, I actually somewhat liked Marinette due to the fact she wasn't made into a stalker.

Though I slowly starting was a little weirded out by her when I first saw she had his schedule and was willing to steal his phone, and for some reason Marinette never got atleast in trouble for that.

She soon started doing more and more things that wasn't so normal for teenager over time, like following him without him knowing, sniffing his pillow and e.c.t.

It was so bad that in s4 - s5 that Marinette made me annoyed at her and I hated how they side lined Adrien just for her.

So I am glad that in s6, The show is actually ackowledging the fact what Marinette is doing with lying adout Monarch is bad.

Heck even in that one episode if I remember her lucky showed her with a compact mirror that she was at fault for causing the akuma, all because she somehow thought that sublime, was talking stealing her boyfriend which wasn't true it was adout the compation.

That episode reminded me of the volpina episode where Marinette as Ladybug cause a lila to be akumatized because Lila was getting close to Adrien, she didn't even bother to ask Lila to talk privelty and sort it out first.

Yeah we find out Lila or Cerise is a terrible person later on, but Marinette makes a mistake of having Lila hate both her and her ladybug persona.

Marinette is wrong for being mean to Lila and Lila is wrong for trying to ruin Marinette life.

Marinette beraly tries to gather evidence to prove Lila is lying and the school for not asking a doctor note.

Marinette let her obession of wanting to prove Lila is lying also got her into quick of lot of situations that gets her into trouble.

Like being mean to Lila who was faking an injury that everyone but her believes its true and cause people to be angry at her, throwing a napkind her to prove Lila was lying adout having a strained wrist If I remembered right and such.

I think Marinette possibly does Love Adrien but she was crushing or obessed on the version of Adrien that Gabriel created and it wasn't who Adrien truely is.

Surprised that Marinette haven't gotten expelled or atleast in trouble for the bad things she actually done, like stealing and copping someone schedule, stealing his phone and e.c.t

But like what I said eariler, I'm glad in the recent season they are actually somewhat acknowledging it atleast.

These are what I think and I wanna know anyone else opinion on Marinette herself.

The more I think about my Miss Fortune AU, the more I realize Claw Noir has a point, Marinette would be like a cockroach. Because she's a quick little thing that never seems to be put now for good, frustrating everyone around her.

We all know Mari is really creepy and hella stalker like and the fact that her friends enable her is

super creepy.

So I wanna address that in my fic. I'm thinking it starts out with girls inviting oc to Mari's house to hang out and help come up with an idea on how to get Mari and Adrien together. Oc at the time has noticed Mari being kinda weird but nothing alarming. Just typical clutz too nervous to talk to her crush stuff. Also at this time oc is Adrien's friend (cause baby needs more than Nino and Mari's friends) and decides to might as well listen to what they have to say and get to know the girls she doesn't hang out with better.

Needless to say she gets creeped out really quick.

Hearing the strait up stalker crap Marinette's been up too puts her on edge and she quickly confronts her. Making some of the other girls(like Juleka) realize that this isn't right and agree.

This leads to a fight and the girls who agre oc and oc herself get asked to leave. Tension gets high. Oc starts watching Alya and Marinette like a hawk. She tells Nino about everything and how bad it's gotten. Nino realizes it's way worse than he thought and agrees to try and reign Alya in/ convince her to cool it. Nino and Oc aren't necessarily friends but they're both Adrien's close friends and have genuine respect for one another The second she or Nino notices Mari doing something stalker like they tell the other and oc confronts her. Telling her to stop it and get some help and how she's no better than Adrien's fans acting like this. She also warns Mari that this is how it's going to go. If she does it again she's telling her parents everything. Do it second time she's going to fight her. Third time, she's calling the cops. Fourth time parents are being called, cops are being called, she's fighting Mari, AND she's calling Gabriel. She doesn't want to resort to that cause of the potential risk to Adrien, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

If she's taking it too far please let me know. In my previous ask that had to do with lb she does take it to far, buts that's to have character flaws. Here though the situation is different, it's not her overreacting cause lb just been kinda an ass. This is actual dangerous behavior that makes her afraid for Adrien. I don't really want this to be a character flaw moment. Let me know what you guys think.

I guess the reason I’m so overly hostile to Marinette in salt fics is because I see her as a whole separate person from her canon counterpart. To me, the Marinette in the show, and the Marinette in salt fics like Karma of Lies and Two Letters, are two different people. I can’t reconcile the vengeful, self-centered wench SaltFic!Marinette with flawed but ultimately well-intentioned Canon Marinette. The gaping differences in their personalities, and the actions of Saltinette that are so heinous and beyond anything Marinette would even think of doing, have made it so I can’t possibly view them as the same person. I don’t want Canon Marinette to suffer too much, but SaltFic!Marinette, with all the horrible things she does, sometimes eclipsing even Lila or Chloe, is a entirely different story.
