In memory of television legend Loni Anderson, who has passed away following a prolonged illness at a Los Angeles hospital at the age of 79, two days before her 80th birthday. Born Loni Kaye Anderson on August 5th, 1945 in Saint Paul, Minnesota Died on August 3rd, 2025 in Los Angeles, California Loni found fame playing glamorous radio station receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982), followed by memorable roles in the television movies The Jayne Mansfield Story (1980) opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, the TV series Partners in Crime (1984) with Lynda Carter, a television remake of the 1945 Gene Tierney movie Leave Her to Heaven entitled Too Good to Be True (1988) co-starring Patrick Duffy, and the TV movie White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd in 1991. Loni was married to screen star Burt Reynolds from 1988 to 1994 and the couple became tabloid fixtures, dubbed "the Ken and Barbie of the middle-aged set" by Hollywood wags due to their immaculate grooming and often co-ordinated outfit choices at public events. Though their relationship was rocky and their divorce somewhat acrimonious, they later patched up their differences and became friends in the years prior to Burt's passing in 2018. Loni is survived by her third husband Bob Flick (a founding member of the folk group The Brothers Four who she originally met in 1963 and re-connected with in her later years), her daughter Deidra (from her first marriage to real estate developer Bruce Hasselberg), her son Quinton (adopted with Burt Reynolds during their marriage; Loni once stated that Quinton was "the best decision that we ever made in our entire relationship"), her sister Andrea, and her grandchildren. May she rest in peace. ❤ Photos of Loni by Mario Casilli for the television movie White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd, 1991.
