AI LLM chatbot service is like 3D printing in the sense that yes i'm sure there's some niche application for stuff like neural networks or 3D printing like solving logistical issues or developing prototypes (respectively) but there comes a point where you've lost the plot and it's like i can 3D print my holographic meatloaf and talk to my chatbot partner about my manufactured job in my VR house where the "tools" have lost their relation to a functional reality and we have this vapid, mass produced waste, disguised as product. like just how when I say 3D printed dragons suck, i'm not stating we need to destroy every 3D printer... just because neural networks are used for nefarious and wasteful things doesnt mean theyre inherently useless but it does make me ill thinking about them in their current state. just garbage being pushed to consumer market as per usual
