Hi, I know this is random and hope you don't mind me asking, but how have you been liking Seoul? How long have you been there now? Are you starting to settle? I hope you're having a good time and that your studies aren't stressing you too much!

I don’t mind at all!

So I’ve been in Seoul for like 4 days, but I’m going to be there until June 2016! I live around the Heuseok area and have only been to Hongdae, Sinchon, and Edae.

I really enjoying it!

I’m from the US and there isn’t really much you can do after 10pm, while in Korea you basically can go out every night until morning and be able to do things like shop, eat, or go clubbing. So I have been basically going out every night. 

Everything is also a lot cheaper than I am used to in the US. A filling meal can be from ~$5-$12. And clothes and beauty products are also as well. It is literally been paradise cause I love shopping but feel bad spending so money.

It’s still pretty new to me, but I’m starting to get the hang out it. It’s really hard to get by not knowing any korean (which is me), but it’s not impossible. Korean people think I’m Korean and it’s like hard because they will speak korean and I just bow and say “yes” haha. 

There is just a lot to do to be a student. I had such little time to not be jet lagged and have a lot of random tasks to do like getting an alien registration card, getting a SIM card, paying for dorms, opening a bank account, and a few other things.

It’s pretty overwhelming but I’m have a really good time and I feel like I’m always being productive, which I’m really happy for.

I’m really glad you asked because it kind of gave me an reason to update people on my situation ^^
