[2] ‘Rira Katsu’, also known as ‘rirakkusu katsudou’, which means ‘relaxing activity’ is a little abbreviation used by some when they’re taking a moment in their busy work lives to do an activity that makes them feel relaxed. Tsubasa and Mario used this phrase when they first met to celebrate Tsubasa’s birthday in November 2019, and used it again when they spent time together yesterday.
[3] Tamura Shougo (who plays Kotegiri Gou in Toumyu) ended up running into Mario and Tsubasa in the sauna at the same onsen he was visiting. You can read the translation about his encounter with Mario and Tsubasa: HERE
[4] Mario has also tweeted about spending the day with Tsubasa, which can be found translated by @blackfireswallow: HERE

"Oretabi" (TV Kanagawa) is a documentary series in which a pair of young actors travel around the world. At the beginning of "Season 1" in January 2015, Murai Ryota and Sato Takashi went to Broadway, New York. Matsuda Ryo and Hatakeyama Ryo went to Taiwan and after that, many actors visited Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc., and showed us the other side of places we cannot see on stages or television.
And in January 2019, it was decided the latest broadcast of "Oretabi Season 5". Kuroba Mario and Sakiyama Tsubasa, who have a close relationship and co-starred in the musical "Touken Ranbu", went to Seoul, South Korea, where they experienced contents such as Taekwondo and Korean beauty.
Kuroba Mario and Sakiyama Tsubasa have already appeared in "Oretabi Season 4" in 2018, where they enjoyed a trip around the Hawaiian attractions. Before this program is broadcasted, we heard Kuroba and Sakiyama's memories from their trip and the feelings of “staying in their current location".
Please tell us about the most impressive places from your trip to Hawaii in "Oretabi Season 4".
Sakiyama: For me it was the first time visiting Hawaii, but I had that image of Hawaii = Diamond Head. I really wanted to climb that place before going. When you are actually climbing it, the sight from there is beautiful... how can you say beyond the word "beautiful"? I was wrapped by the sense of liberation. It was such a place that made me feel small.
Kuroba: For me it was the first day when we went to the prestigious Iruka Institute. I don’t go to the sea in Japan, but if I do, I don’t go diving (under water), so swimming there was a refreshing feeling. It makes me want to go to the sea again because I can't forget I actually swam with fishes and turtles. I thought "I'm alive!" *laughs*
While watching the program, it felt as if Kuroba-san was the older brother.
Kuroba & Sakiyama: *laughs*
Kuroba: Because I was in front of the camera.
Sakiyama: Kuroba-kun was the facilitator for the segments, so I was allowed to move freely *laughs* And because I'm the youngest child, surely, I might have the character of the youngest child, but Kuroba-kun seemed to not be against it, I wonder?
Kuroba: Or rather being spoiled, you were relaxed, weren't you? Depending on the situation, there may be times we reverse the situation according to our ages in which Sakiyama-kun will give you a feeling of being the older brother *laughs*
Kuroba-san was a runner-up for the 23rd JUNON SUPERBOY CONTEST and Sakiyama-san was a reader model since his school days. I think there are many opportunities to perform in movies and dramas. On the other hand, how do you feel being in a situation where you are in the successful 2.5-dimensional world, including the musical "Touken Ranbu"?
Sakiyama: Well, I always had the goal to be in this industry for a long time and I've come so far thinking about doing a lot of things. You can simply watch dramas and movies, but in the 2.5 dimensional world, you can hold events, meet and talk to fans directly. That's a really nice thing and also receiving fan letters and blog comments give me energy. The distance of the 2.5 dimensional world is close. I had no idea until I experienced it. It's a world I never imagined it, so it's a big thing for me and I want to continue doing it from now on.
Kuroba: When I made my debut, the first thing I imagined at that time was appearing in “Getsuku” (also known as “Monday Nine”) (1) at the age of 25 years old, my current age. It was an idea when I was still an amateur, but of course, this isn’t a sweet world. But I think that the current environment is blessed. I think there are a lot of actors of the same age as me who work on the stage of 2.5 dimensional world. It might be a big difference not being seen in dramas or movies. Instead, new children are coming out, both in a good and bad sense. We work really aimlessly, but since we are already making a living in this world, it's good if we can jab a lot of things and consider it as a weapon if we happen to come across it.
Finally, please give a message to the readers of "Hominis".
Sakiyama: In "Oretabi Season 4" we are going to enjoy and introduce you to the most advanced places. It was my first time in Hawaii, but I want you to go there because I think you will want to go as well after watching the program.
Kuroba: And after playing, I also want you to (take a journey) to a sacred place. We left a message in the places we visited, so we hope that you will visit the prestigious Iruka Institute and the Diamond Head as well as us to feel the atmosphere of Hawaii together!
(1) Monday Nine or Getsuku is the term given to the TV schedule period of Monday night 21:00 (JST). It is believed that Japanese dramas aired in this timeslot are most anticipated and watched, and are usually of the romance genre.
