Mark Carrigan (a researcher who has written a number of papers on asexuality over recent years) has a chapter on asexuality in this text. You may or may not be able to access the entire chapter via this Google Books link (I got different results accessing the link at different times).
One step forward, to steps back, that's the key to progress.

Mark Carrigan has provided a pre-print version of his latest paper on asexuality studies. The paper will be published in the journal Psychology of Sexualities Review in their autumn issue.
This distinction made in the asexual community between sexual and romantic attraction just blew my mind when I heard about it. It's a conceptually rich language that could be very valuable to even people who are not asexual.
