“Water Collection is, as the name implies, a collection of water from “significant sources” from around the world. Samples are taken by friends and associates, family members or by me. Accompanying each sample is a data card that details the location and date of the collection, a map of where the collection was taken, the signature of the collector and a visual record of the collection sight or of the collector taking the water. The collection includes samples from all of the oceans and continents. There are collections from major rivers including the Amazon, the Seine, the Mekong and the Yanzi, and more obscure collection sites like water collected from Claude Monet’s lily pond and water collected from a depression on Hadrian’s Wall, near Greenhead, England after a passing squall.”

“Dozens of fresh roses were loaded into the glass chamber, petal by petal, and allowed to liquefy. The liquid was then poured onto the antique book at the base of the box. Dried rose hips surround the glass vessel.”
